Welcome

West Beach Cafe...

Hot on the heels of the multi-award winning building at East Beach, fantastic fish & chips is served in the West Beach Cafe designed by Asif Khan. Khan is a brilliant graduate of London’s world renowned avant-garde architectural school, The Architectural Association alumni which includes Zaha Hadid and Richard Rogers. His most recently acclaimed design is The Beat Box Pavilion for Coca Cola at the London 2012 Olympic Stadium.

The cafe is at the mouth of the River Arun and right on West Beach, Littlehampton - a beautiful, unspoilt beach and a designated area of Special Scientific Interest.

West Beach Cafe offers eat-in or take-away fish & chips, home-made fishcakes and local ice cream plus one of the best views on the South Coast. Created by the team at East Beach Cafe the menu includes: fish & chips, home-made fishcakes, fried smelts, scampi, home made pea puree, toasted sandwiches, toasted fruit bread, local farmhouse cakes, locally roasted coffee & local ice cream. The cafe is also fully licensed.

All fish is from sustainable sources.

Even the cafe itself has been made locally – from the furniture to the lighting, the signage, the steelwork and the window frames. Each item has been hand made by local craftsmen, many based in Littlehampton.

West Beach Cafe is available for Private Hire.

To those of our customers who ask  – here is a little more information about Jamie Feltham who runs West Beach Cafe for us. He has been there both before and since it was redesigned for us by Asif Khan.
Jamie is really good cook.  He was born in Rustington and still lives there.  He first went to work at Harbour Park in Littlehampton when he was 16 years old. He enjoyed a variety of jobs there including bar management and cooking in the seafront concessions. Whilst there he also worked at the Barnham hotel and at a hotel in Midhurst..
He says his favourite foods are fish and curries .   He really  likes chatting to his many regular and occasional customers. He watches Come Dine with Me on TV , documentaries and Quest.  He also likes fast cars and the daytime show Loose Women. He says he doesn’t like snobs, shopping, supermarkets and amusement parks!

Pop in and see him for a cup of tea!
